Welcome to TUSD DevELOPment Academy!
Torrance Unified School District offers Expanded Learning Opportunities before and after school, as well as during breaks. Programs may be fee-based, subsidized, or free, depending on eligibility.
The TUSD DevELOPment Academy provides hands-on enrichment experiences that support students' academic, social, emotional, and physical development, ensuring a safe and supportive environment outside regular school hours.
Program Requirements:
The state of California now provides funding for Expanded Learning Opportunity Programs (ELOP) for TK through 6th grade students. This program is free for students who qualify for Free or Reduced Fee Lunch, are experiencing housing instability, or are foster youth and enrollment is voluntary. If space is available, students who are English Learners are also able to attend for a fee.
